More than 40% of Fab’s daily visits now come from our mobile apps on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Since the beginning of 2012 we noticed that “has mobile app” is a big indicator of customer engagement. We saw that Fab’s mobile users purchased more then 2x faster, 3x more often, and in much…
We’re going international, plus some awesome site updates!
Any day now Fab will surpass 2 million members. We’ve added more than 400,000 new members in the past 30 days and doubled our membership since November.
We’re so excited about it that we’ve decided to celebrate today with a series of new features and announcements designed to make great…
This might sound a little funny, but on my way home Thursday night I came across some great looking trash. What I saw was a locker set which was being thrown out. From visiting ABC Home Store I knew that these were super expensive—literally $1,500+.
I ran up to my apartment, grabbed a screw driver set, tape measure and a zip lock bag. Due to the weight, around 200lbs, I spent literally the next hour unscrewing the lockers and putting the nut and bolt into the bad. During this time 2 metal recycling companies came by asking if I was keeping them.
I then contemplated how the hell I was going to get them into my apartment. I managed to get one of the lockers up 3 flights of stairs on my own, but couldn’t make it any further. There was a group of 6 guys on the street who had just finished dinner next door, so I did what any logical person would do: I invited 6 strange men into my building and apartment because they so graciously volunteered to help. I paid them $21 and I had the lockers secured in my apartment 90 minutes after first spotting them.
I had a lot of help from my roommate to re-assemble them, and voila, this is what you get!
Ps. I stopped into ABC Home today and showed a guy that worked there, and he was amazed!
Thank goodness it’s over, but it’s not too late to donate!

It’s with a bit of sadness that we’ve seen the thirty days of follicle fury that was Movember come to a close here at our Fab.com offices. Over the past month we had 16 Fab men (we lost a few along the way) and three Fab ladies go sans a shave to raise awareness and funds for prostate…
I made a tasty dinner last night, here’s the list of ingredients!
- Hot Italian sausage
- Serrano peppers
- Portobello mushrooms
- Tomatillos
- Chick Peas
- Polenta
- Red onion
- Shaved parmesan cheese
- Chicken broth
These are the steps:
Sautee the chick peas in olive oil with salt and pepper. Simultaneously boil 3 cups water / 3 cups chicken broth. Once boiling add 2 cups polenta, stir in butter as it thickens and then set aside on a plate to cool. Cook the sausage and all the veggies together in a skillet. As the sausage cooks the juice create a nice broth for the veggies to cook in and the tomatillos add a nice contrasting sweetness. Once the sausage is done, set aside and cut the polenta into squares and fry in the left over sausage juice. Plate and serve!

Last week at this time we told you about our efforts to raise money for men’s health issues by joining the Movember movement. Since then, the Fab team has gotten a lot hairier. While some had a head start, others are happily sporting a hirsute visage for the first time. Check out our progress, and don’t forget to visit our Movember site and donate!!

Team Fab: Week 2
Zach: “Normally I don’t even notice it, but when I start thinking about the hair it itches terribly!”
I made a nice dinner last night of Shrimp Fra Diavolo:
- Sautéed garlic and red pepper in olive oil & simultaneously boil water for pasta
- Add the shrimp and cook for 5 minutes
- Start the pasta
- Add marinara sauce and slowly simmer
- Add pasta to plate, top with shrimp/sauce combo
