Moving to NYC was an adjustment, and one of the biggest elements of that for me was housing. I saw 15 apartments over the course of 2 weekends after sending about 180 first emails (many more with correspondences) to people on Craigslist to find mine! It was an overwhelming and grueling process to say the least, but once I saw this place I knew that I could be comfortable here and get along with the roommates!
Top features of the apartment that aren’t evident from this video:
- Directly across from a park, so our view is wide open! Best part of that is that I didn’t
needhave curtains for the first week and nobody complained! - 25 minutes door-to-door from my office
- Heat is free!
- The roommates!
- (almost) Best of all: the kitchen is 100% stocked with equipment! We are however taking toaster oven donations!
