This might sound a little funny, but on my way home Thursday night I came across some great looking trash. What I saw was a locker set which was being thrown out. From visiting ABC Home Store I knew that these were super expensive—literally $1,500+.
I ran up to my apartment, grabbed a screw driver set, tape measure and a zip lock bag. Due to the weight, around 200lbs, I spent literally the next hour unscrewing the lockers and putting the nut and bolt into the bad. During this time 2 metal recycling companies came by asking if I was keeping them.
I then contemplated how the hell I was going to get them into my apartment. I managed to get one of the lockers up 3 flights of stairs on my own, but couldn’t make it any further. There was a group of 6 guys on the street who had just finished dinner next door, so I did what any logical person would do: I invited 6 strange men into my building and apartment because they so graciously volunteered to help. I paid them $21 and I had the lockers secured in my apartment 90 minutes after first spotting them.
I had a lot of help from my roommate to re-assemble them, and voila, this is what you get!
Ps. I stopped into ABC Home today and showed a guy that worked there, and he was amazed!
